Porcelain Crowns Cork
A crown, made from porcelain can protect a weakened, damaged or cracked tooth above the gum line and keep it protected. The advantage of porcelain is that your crown can be coloured and shaped so it looks and feels almost like a natural tooth.
First of all, a precise impression of your teeth is made by biting into a soft mouldable material. A dental technician then uses this to design the crown and ensure it is the perfect height for your mouth. A temporary metal or plastic crown is fitted over the tooth whilst the crown is being made. Once the final porcelain crown is affixed, some final adjustments are made to ensure your natural bite is kept.
If you maintain good dental hygiene habits, a crown can last for years.
